Steel

With over 65 years of experience, we can call ourselves 'Masters of Steel'. Our steel window, door, and facade systems are frequently used in projects due to their pleasing aesthetics and safety features.

Rollecate and steel

For almost 65 years, Rollecate has been applying steel to both indoor and outdoor frames, windows, doors, and steel curtain walls, utilizing the latest technologies and making aesthetic and environmentally friendly choices.

Steel's stable and sturdy properties make it suitable for both classical renovation projects and modern facades. Working with steel requires a lot of knowledge, skill, and constant innovation, which is why Rollecate takes into account the latest quality requirements in design, development, and execution. Steel applications have a high burglary resistance and fire resistance among other specific safety features.

As Europe's largest steel facade processor, we have been producing our own steel products since 1992 in our production facility in Tengelic, Hungary. We have the most modern surface treatment facilities that meet all European quality and environmental requirements.

At Rollecate, we process Jansen and Forster systems, as well as special requests and classical steel.

Jansen and Forster
One of our preferred suppliers are Jansen and Forster, a high-quality Swiss steel system. We are able to in-house engineer, produce, preserve and assemble with Jansen and Forster profiles. These profiles offer all possibilities regarding insulation, burglary, bullet, and fire resistancy, 50 or 60mm for curtain walls, windows, frames, and doors. Glass and panels will be supplied by our professional partners.

Rollecate Specials
Rollecate Specials are customised solutions created by taking advantage of steel's properties in combination with our high-quality and flexible production environment. We can provide solutions such as prison windows, cell windows, 3-hour fire-resistant doors, laser welding applications, and frame and glass supports.

Classics
Our so called Classics are non-insulated hot-rolled steel profiles which are very slim. The profile is usually used in renovation projects, but it is also possible in new construction projects. The profile is executable with single glass and insulation glass with the 'looks' of single glass, making it suitable for restoration applications. It has a depth of 32 or 36mm. It is an authentic solution now equipped with modern high-quality conservation, resulting in a sustainable facade filling with a classic look.

The benefits of steel

Using steel in your new construction or renovation project has many benefits beyond aesthetics and safety.

Specific features/benefits of steel facades are:

  • Steel is durable: Steel lasts a very long time and is an enormous sustainable solution because it can be 100% recycled.
  • Steel requires little maintenance: It is maintenance-friendly and does not require special care due to the high-quality conservation that Rollecate applies in the production process.
  • Steel facades have high fire resistance and good insulation value: The melting temperature of steel is considerably higher than other materials. We offer certified fire-resistant constructions for up to 3 hours in doors! Steel outdoor frames can now also be insulated with, for example, air chambers, a cold bridge interruption, or a layer of insulating material.
  • Steel is solid and dimensionally stable: This makes it possible to create large glass partitions with narrow profiles, creating plenty of light. We are also experienced in very large self-spanning facades. The welded constructions do not show visible miters, resulting in a smooth and even surface. As a result, steel windows and doors are also stronger and more resistant to vandalism and in intensive use environments.
  • Steel has a unique and contemporary look: Steel radiates strength, is very sleek, and can be applied both modern and classic. Steel is also frequently used in renovation projects, combining the appearance of the past with today's highest insulation, comfort, and quality requirements.
  • Steel is surprising: You can maximize all of these benefits in your design. For all contemporary construction solutions with steel windows, doors, and curtain walls and for all possible applications, we would be happy to provide you with expert advice.
