As you may already know, Rollecate's product range is based on two main material groups: aluminum and steel, with applications including both interior and exterior façades and window frames. Steel is offered in insulated and non-insulated versions.
In this article, we would like to give you a brief introduction to the 'world of steel'. Steel is the material that Rollecate began working with back in 1954!
The unique properties of steel make it widely applicable. This includes safety features such as burglar resistance and also smoke and fire resistancy. A special application is the steel panic door which is certified by a "notified body" and therefore can be applied under the CE label according to building regulations.
Another property of steel is that it is up to three times stronger than aluminum, which allows for slender lines while maintaining a strong structure. This enables the creation of aesthetically pleasing products that will remain beautiful for a long period of time. A powder-coated finish will ensure a minimal amount of maintenance.
We are proud to inform you that we have everything in-house to carry out all the necessary steps for a successful steel application.
Within our quality system NEN and ISO9001, our products are developed with engineers from our own advisory department, sales, project groups, production and installation. Special attention is given to the preservation that we apply immediately after production. This treatment is subject to strict Qualisteelcoat control, which regularly tests the quality to ensure reliable corrosion resistance.
Rollecate also has its own test chamber that can simulate practical stresses related to wind, water and fire resistance.
We have partnered with GevelBeheer Nederland to provide service and any necessary aftercare for installed products. This ensures that you always have access to fast and expert support, 24/7, during the operation phase of your high-quality steel product investment.
Especially during the operational phase, it is important to know that all of our products are equipped with a unique QR-code from the factory. This code carries information for fast traceability of production methods and material applications of the entire product.
This development make it possible to provide fast and adequate service for any of all our steel products, with good and quick replaceability of the original parts. This includes locking parts and glass compositions, for example.
Steel has all the properties of a proper circular material and scores highly in terms of sustainability.
